The viral “just use a dishwasher tablet and your oven will be like new” trick can work to loosen some greasy residue, but I wouldn’t recommend putting a dishwasher tablet directly in your oven.
Dishwasher tablets are formulated for a dishwasher’s controlled water cycle, not for direct application to an oven’s interior. Manufacturers recommend following the oven’s own cleaning instructions; some specifically warn against harsh or inappropriate cleaners because they can damage the oven’s finish.

🧽 Safer way to tackle baked-on grease
Let the oven cool completely.
Remove the racks and loose food debris.
Use warm water + a small amount of dish soap on a soft sponge/cloth.
For stubborn residue, use baking soda and water as a paste, if your manufacturer’s instructions permit it.
Leave the paste for several hours, then wipe and rinse thoroughly.
If your oven has Steam Clean or Self Clean, use that function according to the manual.

Never mix cleaning products, and don’t get liquid into heating elements, vents, controls, or the door gasket.
If you tell me your oven brand/model (Samsung, Bosch, Beko, etc.), I can give you the safest method specifically for that oven.
