How to remove the dark circle around the faucets

Dark circles around faucets are usually caused by hard-water mineral deposits, soap residue, mildew, or grime trapped around the faucet base. Try these methods:

1. Vinegar method (for mineral buildup)

  1. Soak a cloth or paper towel in white vinegar.
  2. Wrap it around the dark ring for 30–60 minutes.
  3. Scrub gently with an old toothbrush or soft sponge.
  4. Rinse with water and dry.

(Avoid leaving vinegar too long on natural stone surfaces like marble or granite, as it can damage them.)

2. Baking soda paste (for stubborn stains)

  1. Mix baking soda + a little water into a paste.
  2. Apply around the faucet base.
  3. Leave for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Scrub gently and rinse.

3. For black mildew or mold

  • Use a bathroom cleaner designed for mold, or a diluted bleach solution if the surface allows it.
  • Scrub carefully, rinse well, and ventilate the area.

4. Prevent it from coming back

  • Wipe around the faucet dry after use.
  • Clean the area weekly with mild soap and water.
  • Fix any leaks around the faucet base, since constant moisture encourages staining.

If you tell me what surface the faucet is on (stainless steel sink, ceramic, marble, granite, etc.) and whether the circle is black, brown, or white, I can suggest the safest cleaner.
