Oven-Baked 3-Ingredient Potato Ring 🥔
A simple, crispy potato side dish made with just a few ingredients. It’s great as an appetizer, snack, or a side for dinner.
Ingredients
- 3 large potatoes
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
- Salt (to taste)
Optional additions: black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, herbs, or grated cheese (these add flavor but make it more than 3 ingredients).
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes
- Wash and peel the potatoes if desired.
- Grate them using a box grater.
- Squeeze out as much moisture as possible using a clean kitchen towel.
- Season and shape
- Mix the grated potatoes with olive oil and salt.
- Arrange the mixture into a ring shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press it together firmly so it holds its shape.
- Bake
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 35–45 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- For extra crunch, brush the top lightly with a little more oil halfway through.
- Serve
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with yogurt dip, sour cream, salsa, or your favorite sauce.
Tips for a crispier potato ring
✅ Remove as much water from the grated potatoes as possible.
✅ Spread the ring evenly so it cooks at the same rate.
✅ Use a hot oven and avoid overcrowding the baking tray.
This recipe is naturally gluten-free and can easily be adapted with herbs, spices, or cheese if you want a richer flavor.
