Watch for sudden:
Face drooping or numbness, especially on one side.
Weakness or numbness in an arm, particularly on one side.
Weakness or numbness in a leg, especially on one side.
Slurred or difficult speech.
Difficulty understanding speech or sudden confusion.
Loss or sudden change of vision in one or both eyes.
Dizziness or loss of balance.
Difficulty walking or sudden loss of coordination.
Double vision or other sudden visual disturbances.
A severe headache with no known cause, particularly if it appears suddenly.

Don’t wait to see whether symptoms disappear. Even if they resolve after a few minutes, they may represent a transient ischemic attack (TIA), which is a warning stroke and requires urgent medical evaluation. Note the time the symptoms began, because that information can affect treatment decisions.
