How to remove the dark circle around the faucets

If you’re referring to the dark ring or stain around a faucet where it meets the sink or countertop, it’s usually caused by mineral deposits, soap scum, mold, or accumulated grime.

Here’s how to remove it:

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water.
  2. Soak a cloth or paper towel in the mixture and wrap it around the base of the faucet for 15–30 minutes.
  3. Scrub gently with an old toothbrush or a soft brush.
  4. Wipe clean with water and dry with a microfiber cloth.

If the stain remains:

  • Make a paste of baking soda and a little water.
  • Apply it to the stained area, let it sit for 10–15 minutes, then scrub gently and rinse.

If you notice black mold around the base, a bathroom cleaner designed to remove mold or a diluted bleach solution can help. Never mix bleach with vinegar or other cleaners, and ensure the area is well ventilated.

If the dark ring keeps coming back or water seeps from under the faucet, the faucet may need to be resealed or the gasket replaced.

If you can upload a photo of the stain, I can help identify whether it’s mineral buildup, mold, corrosion, or another issue and suggest the best cleaning method.
