From the age of 60, remember to wash these 5 overlooked areas of your body to stay fresh, healthy, and energized

That headline is mostly clickbait framing rather than a medical rule. There is no special rule that people over 60 must wash five particular body areas that younger people can ignore.

For older adults, however, some areas are easy to overlook and deserve regular attention because moisture, sweat, skin folds, and reduced mobility can make irritation or infection more likely:

Behind the ears — gently clean away accumulated sweat, oils, and skin debris.
Around the neck — particularly beneath skin folds.
Armpits — wash gently and dry thoroughly.
Under the breasts or abdominal folds — where applicable, keep the skin clean and dry.
Between the toes and around the feet — wash and dry carefully, especially between the toes.
The important part

You don’t need aggressive scrubbing or very hot water. Aging skin becomes more susceptible to dryness and irritation, so gentle washing with warm—not hot—water and a mild cleanser is preferable. A moisturizer can help afterward, particularly on dry areas.

Also, the claim that washing these areas will keep someone “energized” isn’t a medically established effect. Good hygiene can improve comfort, odor control, and skin health, but it isn’t an anti-aging or energy-boosting treatment.

If the headline came from a particular article or advertisement, send me its URL and I can identify the exact “five areas” it recommends and separate the sensible hygiene advice from the exaggerated claims.
