You only need 2 natural ingredients! ๐Ÿ˜Ž How to clean a gas stove top so it looks like new

A two-ingredient cleaning trick can help remove everyday grease and food residue from a gas stove top, but results depend on how old or baked-on the stains are. There is no guaranteed homemade mixture that will make every stove look brand new in one attempt.

Simple two-ingredient method: baking soda + dish soap

Youโ€™ll need:

  • ๐Ÿฅ„ Baking soda
  • ๐Ÿงด A few drops of dish soap
  • ๐Ÿ’ง Warm water

Steps:

  1. Turn off the stove and let all parts cool completely.
  2. Remove grates, burner caps, and knobs if they can be removed.
  3. Mix baking soda with a small amount of dish soap and warm water to make a paste.
  4. Apply the paste to greasy areas and let it sit for 10โ€“20 minutes.
  5. Wipe gently with a soft sponge or microfiber cloth.
  6. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  7. Clean burner parts separately and make sure they are completely dry before replacing them.

Avoid damaging your stove

โŒ Do not use steel wool or harsh abrasive scrubbers on delicate surfaces.
โŒ Avoid getting water or cleaner inside burner openings.
โŒ Do not use strong chemicals unless your stove manufacturer recommends them.

Regular wiping after cooking helps prevent grease buildup and makes deep cleaning much easier.
