Easy Southern Honey Butter Skillet Corn Recipe (4 Ingredients)

Easy Southern Honey Butter Skillet Corn — 4 Ingredients

A quick, sweet-and-savory side dish that takes about 10 minutes.

Ingredients
4 cups corn kernels, fresh or frozen
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the corn and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and tender. If using frozen corn, cook until completely heated through.
Stir in the honey and salt. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, stirring so the honey and butter coat the corn evenly.
Taste and adjust the salt or honey if desired. Serve warm.
Southern-style tip

For a richer, more caramelized flavor, let the corn sit undisturbed for a minute or two at a time while cooking so some kernels develop light golden-brown edges.

Optional: A pinch of black pepper or cayenne can add a nice contrast to the sweetness, but the basic recipe stays at four ingredients.
