Never uproot this plant if it appears in your garden.

That statement is too broad to be accurate. Whether you should remove a plant depends entirely on which plant it is.

Some plants that people are often encouraged not to uproot include:

  • Common milkweed – An important food source for monarch butterfly caterpillars and a valuable native plant in many regions.
  • White clover – Can improve soil by fixing nitrogen and provides nectar for pollinators.
  • Dandelion – Often considered a weed, but its flowers provide an early food source for bees, and its leaves and roots have culinary uses.

On the other hand, some plants should be removed because they are invasive or harmful in certain areas, or because they are poisonous to people or pets.

If you have a specific plant in mind, upload a photo or tell me its name, and I can help identify it and explain whether it’s worth keeping or removing.
