Aneurysm: Signs you shouldn’t ignore… See more

If you’re turning this into health content, it’s better to make the warning medically accurate without implying that every symptom means an aneurysm.

🚨 ANEURYSM: SIGNS YOU SHOULDN’T IGNORE

An aneurysm can develop without obvious symptoms, which is why some are discovered unexpectedly. But when an aneurysm becomes symptomatic or ruptures, it can be a medical emergency.

⚠️ Symptoms that need urgent attention

Depending on where the aneurysm occurs, warning signs can include:

🔴 Sudden, extremely severe headache — especially a sudden “worst headache of my life,” which can occur with a ruptured brain aneurysm.

🔴 Sudden severe chest or upper-back pain — particularly if it is intense or tearing in character.

🔴 Sudden severe abdominal or back pain — which can occur with certain abdominal aortic aneurysms.

🔴 Fainting, severe weakness, confusion, or difficulty speaking

🔴 Sudden vision problems or weakness/numbness on one side of the body

🔴 Severe dizziness or loss of consciousness

🚑 Don’t wait for it to get worse

A ruptured aneurysm can cause life-threatening internal bleeding or bleeding around the brain.

If someone develops a sudden, severe headache, severe unexplained chest/abdominal/back pain, loses consciousness, or develops sudden neurological symptoms, seek emergency medical care immediately.

Most headaches or backaches are NOT caused by aneurysms. The important thing is recognizing sudden, severe, unusual symptoms and getting help quickly.
