My mom taught me this trick to diminish dark age spots on my hands in just 3 mins with 0 effort. Here’s how it works

A Simple Trick to Make Dark Age Spots on Your Hands Look Less Noticeable

Dark age spots, also called sun spots, usually develop after years of sun exposure. They cannot be safely erased in three minutes, but you can make your hands look cleaner and more moisturized with a simple routine.

Try This 3-Minute Routine

1. Wash your hands gently
Use lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Pat dry instead of rubbing.

2. Apply a moisturizer
A fragrance-free hand cream can immediately make dry skin look smoother and healthier.

3. Protect your hands from the sun
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to the backs of your hands. Reapply when needed, especially after washing your hands.

For Long-Term Fading

Ingredients such as niacinamide, vitamin C, or certain retinoid products may gradually improve the appearance of pigmentation. Results take time, and consistent sun protection is essential.

Avoid harsh DIY remedies such as lemon juice, baking soda, or undiluted acids. They can irritate the skin and sometimes make dark spots more noticeable.

Important: If a spot is new, rapidly changing, bleeding, itching, or has an unusual shape or color, have it checked by a dermatologist rather than trying to remove it at home.
