That claim is not credible and contains several red flags. There is no scientifically proven mixture or tablespoon of any food that can make belly fat “disappear for good” in three days or produce a liposuction-like effect.
Here are the main reasons to be skeptical:
- Spot reduction isn’t possible. You can’t selectively burn belly fat by taking a single food or drink.
- Permanent fat loss takes time. Losing body fat requires a sustained calorie deficit over days to weeks, not three days.
- “It dries out the skin like after liposuction” is not a normal or desirable effect. If something causes rapid water loss (for example, a strong diuretic or laxative), you may temporarily weigh less because of dehydration—not because you’ve lost fat.
- “Don’t overdo it” is a common marketing tactic used to make exaggerated claims sound more believable.
If a product or recipe causes:
- severe diarrhea,
- frequent urination,
- sweating, or
- dehydration,
the initial drop on the scale is mostly water weight, which usually returns once you rehydrate.
If your goal is to reduce belly fat, the methods with the strongest evidence are:
- eating a balanced diet with an appropriate calorie intake,
- regular physical activity (including strength training),
- getting enough sleep, and
- managing stress.
If you have the specific recipe or ingredient list from that claim, share it with me and I can explain what each ingredient actually does and whether there’s any evidence behind it.
