That headline is almost certainly an exaggeration.
The claim “burns weeds in 1 day” may be true for some weed killers or homemade treatments in the sense that the visible leaves wilt quickly. However, the claim “They NEVER grow again” is generally not true.
Here’s why:
- Contact herbicides (including vinegar-based sprays and some homemade remedies) often burn the leaves but may not kill the roots, so perennial weeds can regrow.
- Systemic herbicides move through the plant and can kill the roots, but they still don’t guarantee that weeds will “never” return because new seeds can germinate or underground roots from nearby plants can spread.
- Some tough weeds (such as bindweed, nutsedge, or dandelions) often require repeated treatment or other control methods.
If you’re looking for long-term weed control, combining methods—such as mulching, hand removal of roots, and, where appropriate, targeted herbicide use—is usually more effective than relying on a single “miracle” product.
So the headline is best viewed as marketing or clickbait rather than a realistic promise. No weed treatment can honestly guarantee that weeds will never grow again.
