Claims that a recipe, drink, or single ingredient can make wrinkles disappear, tighten skin, or restore youth are not supported by good scientific evidence. Skin aging is a natural process influenced by genetics, sun exposure, hormones, lifestyle, and time.

Some habits that can help skin look healthier and reduce the appearance of aging over time include:

  • Using daily sunscreen to reduce UV-related skin damage
  • Applying a moisturizer to support the skin barrier
  • Getting enough protein, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats
  • Staying hydrated
  • Avoiding smoking and limiting excess alcohol
  • Using evidence-based skincare ingredients such as retinoids (vitamin A derivatives), which have research supporting their role in improving fine lines
