The claim “Learn how to clean 15 kilograms of waste from your colon in one night” is misleading and potentially dangerous. There is no evidence that an average person has 15 kg of accumulated waste sitting in the colon that needs to be removed overnight. Your digestive system continuously moves waste through the bowel.

What about an overnight “colon cleanse”?
Medical bowel cleansing is sometimes necessary before a colonoscopy or certain procedures. Doctors use specific laxative preparations that cause substantial diarrhea and empty the bowel. These preparations are used according to a medical protocol—not as a routine detox.

Trying to force a bowel cleanse with large amounts of laxatives, enemas, herbal mixtures, or “detox” drinks can cause:
Dehydration
Electrolyte disturbances
Severe cramping, vomiting or diarrhea
Kidney or heart complications in susceptible people
Bleeding or bowel injury
Rarely, bowel perforation

If you’re constipated
A safer approach is usually adequate fluids, gradually increasing dietary fiber, regular physical activity, and—when appropriate—a suitable over-the-counter laxative discussed with a pharmacist or clinician.
If constipation is persistent, severe, associated with vomiting, significant abdominal pain, blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, or inability to pass gas, seek medical evaluation rather than attempting an overnight cleanse.
Bottom line: You don’t need to “detox” your colon, and there is no safe trick that removes 15 kg of supposed waste overnight.
