If you’re checking whether that claim is true: not really.
Taking 1 tablespoon of baking soda in the morning is not a safe or proven way to “loosen stuck stool” or reduce belly fat/bloating. Baking soda can sometimes cause belching because it reacts with stomach acid, which may temporarily change how your stomach feels, but that isn’t the same as treating constipation.
A tablespoon also contains a large amount of sodium and can cause nausea, vomiting, electrolyte disturbances, or other complications when taken inappropriately.
For occasional constipation, safer first steps include adequate fluids, gradually increasing dietary fiber, and regular physical activity. If constipation is persistent, severe, or accompanied by significant abdominal pain, vomiting, blood in the stool, or inability to pass gas, seek medical care.
