Aloe vera is often used in hair care because it can help soothe the scalp, reduce dryness, and condition hair, but there is limited scientific evidence that aloe vera oil can directly make hair grow faster or stop hair loss. Hair loss can have many causes (genetics, hormones, nutrition, stress, scalp conditions, medications), so a homemade oil is not a guaranteed treatment.
If you want to make an aloe-infused hair oil for scalp care:
Aloe vera infused hair oil (simple recipe)
Ingredients
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh aloe vera gel (or pure aloe gel)
- ½ cup coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil
Method
- Wash an aloe vera leaf and remove the yellow latex layer (it can irritate skin).
- Scoop out the clear gel and blend it until smooth.
- Mix the gel with your chosen oil.
- Warm the mixture gently on low heat for a few minutes (do not boil).
- Strain out any solid pieces and store in a clean container.
- Apply a small amount to the scalp, leave for 30–60 minutes, then wash.
