Laundry as white and pure as milk: you only need this ingredient

Laundry as White as Milk: The Simple Ingredient 🧺🤍

If you’re looking for a household ingredient to boost the cleaning of white laundry, try washing soda (sodium carbonate).

How to use it
Add your normal laundry detergent.
Add about ½ cup (120 ml) of washing soda to the wash, following the product’s instructions.
Wash at the hottest temperature that’s safe for the fabric.
Check the clothes before drying—heat can set some stains permanently.

Washing soda can help soften hard water and improve detergent performance, making it useful for removing accumulated dirt and grease.

Important

Washing soda is not the same as baking soda. It’s much more alkaline, so avoid getting it in your eyes and consider wearing gloves if your skin is sensitive.

For badly yellowed or stained whites, an oxygen-based laundry bleach may work better than washing soda alone.

And never mix chlorine bleach with ammonia, acids, or other cleaning products that can produce dangerous fumes.

Bottom line: Washing soda can be an effective laundry booster, but there’s no single ingredient that guarantees every white garment will become “milk white.” Always follow the fabric-care label.
