The “Nana” Blind-Cleaning Hack
The easiest trick is to turn an old clean sock into a dusting mitt.
Put a clean, dry microfiber cloth or cotton sock over your hand.
For ordinary dust, use it dry—no spray needed.
Close the blind slats and gently wipe from one side to the other.
Flip the slats and repeat.
For stubborn grime, lightly dampen the cloth with warm water and a tiny drop of dish soap, then wipe again with a dry cloth.
The 2-minute shortcut
For lightly dusty blinds, run a clean sock over several slats at once, using your fingers to keep the slats separated. It’s much faster than wiping each slat individually.
Don’t soak wooden blinds—excess moisture can warp or damage them. For fabric, specialty, or delicate blinds, follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.
No magic potion required: microfiber + a little elbow grease beats most viral “blinds sparkle instantly” recipes.
