Surprising Dryer Sheet Hack for Easy Toilet Cleaning

Surprising Dryer Sheet Hack for Easy Toilet Cleaning

A used dryer sheet can be handy for loosening light dust, hair, and surface grime around the toilet, but it isn’t a substitute for toilet cleaner or a disinfectant.

Try it this way
Put on household cleaning gloves.
Use a dry or slightly damp used dryer sheet to wipe around the outside of the toilet, including the base and nearby floor.
For stubborn surface residue, dampen the sheet slightly and gently rub the area.
Throw the sheet away afterward—don’t flush it.
Clean and disinfect the toilet normally, particularly the seat, handle, and other frequently touched surfaces.

Why it can help: dryer sheets have a textured material and conditioning agents that can pick up loose dust and hair.

Important: Don’t use a dryer sheet inside the toilet bowl as though it were a disinfectant. And never mix toilet cleaners with bleach, ammonia, vinegar, or other cleaning chemicals, because dangerous fumes can result.
