What Is The Normal Blood Pressure For Each Age

There isn’t a separate “normal” blood-pressure number for every adult age. For adults, the current American Heart Association guideline uses the same categories regardless of age.

So, for example, a 65-year-old does not automatically have a “normal” BP of 140/90 simply because of age. The general adult target remains below 130/80 mmHg, although an individual’s treatment target can depend on their health, medications, frailty, and other conditions.

Children are different: their healthy BP ranges depend on age, sex, and height, so adult numbers shouldn’t be applied to children.
