That claim is not medically credible as stated. There is no ordinary “one tablespoon” ingredient that safely dissolves all stool from seven days within three hours or keeps the colon permanently “clean.”
What may actually happen
A tablespoon of certain substances—such as a fiber supplement, oil, or laxative preparation—might stimulate a bowel movement in some people, but the effect depends entirely on what the substance is. Some laxatives work within hours; others take longer. They don’t literally dissolve seven days of stool.
Also, your colon doesn’t need routine detoxification or cleansing. The digestive system naturally removes waste, and medical organizations say there is no evidence that routine colon cleansing provides a health benefit.
Be careful with “colon cleanse” recipes
Some products or homemade mixtures marketed for this purpose can cause severe diarrhea, dehydration, electrolyte abnormalities, abdominal cramping, and medication interactions. The risks can be greater for people with kidney or heart problems.
For ordinary constipation, safer first steps are adequate fluids, gradually increasing dietary fiber, and regular physical activity. If constipation persists, a clinician can recommend an appropriate treatment.
