ALERT! 7 Strange Signs Your Kidneys Are Crying for Help

7 Warning Signs Your Kidneys May Need Attention

Kidney problems can sometimes develop without obvious symptoms. However, certain changes may be worth discussing with a healthcare professional.

1. Swelling in the Feet or Ankles

Kidney problems can sometimes cause the body to retain extra fluid.

2. Changes in Urination

Needing to urinate much more or less than usual, especially with other symptoms, can be a warning sign.

3. Foamy or Bloody Urine

Persistent foam or visible blood in the urine should be medically evaluated.

4. Unusual Tiredness

Reduced kidney function can contribute to anemia and fatigue.

5. Persistent Itchy Skin

Severe or ongoing itching can occur in advanced kidney disease.

6. Nausea or Loss of Appetite

These symptoms can occur when kidney function becomes significantly impaired.

7. Trouble Concentrating or Confusion

Changes in mental alertness can occur in severe kidney problems and require prompt medical attention.

Important: These symptoms can have many causes and do not automatically mean you have kidney disease. If you notice persistent or worsening changes—especially blood in the urine, significant swelling, severe weakness, or confusion—seek medical advice promptly.
