If you mean cooking/baking a pizza directly on cardboard, don’t do that. Cardboard can scorch or catch fire in an oven, and inks, glues, and coatings aren’t intended for direct high-heat cooking.

🍕 Safe homemade pizza recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • Âľ tsp salt
  • Âľ cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite toppings

Method

  1. Mix flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil; knead for about 5–8 minutes.
  3. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour.
  4. Stretch the dough onto a metal baking tray or pizza stone.
  5. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  6. Bake at 230–250°C (450–480°F) until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling, usually about 10–15 minutes.
  7. Let it cool briefly before slicing.

Important: If you’re referring to the cardboard pizza box, you can use the box to transport or serve the pizza, but don’t put the box in the oven unless the manufacturer specifically states that it is oven-safe and gives a temperature limit.
