  • 2 cans tuna, drained (about 250–300 g total)
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

    • Cook onion for 2–3 minutes until softened.
    • Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
    • Pour in the cream and milk, then simmer gently.
  3. Add tuna and seasoning
    • Stir in the drained tuna.
    • Add herbs, pepper, and Parmesan if using.
    • Simmer for a few minutes until creamy.
  4. Combine
    • Add the cooked pasta to the sauce.
    • Mix well, adding a little pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  5. Serve
    • Finish with parsley, extra Parmesan, and a little lemon juice if desired.

Easy Variations

  • Add peas, spinach, mushrooms, or sweetcorn for extra vegetables.
  • Use cream cheese instead of cream for a thicker sauce.
  • Add chilli flakes for a spicy version.
  • Top with breadcrumbs and bake for a tuna pasta bake.

Tip: Avoid overheating the tuna for too long—adding it near the end helps keep the flavour and texture better.
