If you’re talking about the common cleaning tip, the “ingredient” is usually white vinegar. It can help remove mineral deposits and some grime, but it won’t keep a floor clean for an entire week by itself.
For a simple floor-cleaning solution:
Add ½ cup of white vinegar to about 4–5 liters of warm water.
Mop with a well-wrung mop rather than soaking the floor.
Let the floor dry completely.
⚠️ Don’t use vinegar on natural stone such as marble, limestone, or travertine—it can etch the surface. And never mix vinegar with bleach or chlorine-containing cleaners.
For wood, laminate, vinyl, tile, or stone, the safest mixture differs. Tell me what type of floor you have and I’ll give you the appropriate bucket recipe.
