Pour canned baked beans over raw ground beef, together with 3 ingredients, into slow cooker for a comforting supper that’s always a yes in my house.

  1. Slow-Cooker Baked Bean & Ground Beef Casserole 🥘

A hearty, sweet-and-savory supper with just a handful of ingredients.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
    • 1 can (28 oz/794 g) baked beans
    • ½ cup ketchup
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
    • Salt and black pepper, to taste

    Instructions

    1. Brown the ground beef first in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
    2. Add the beef to your slow cooker.
    3. Stir in the baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
    4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, stirring once if convenient.
    5. Taste and adjust the seasoning before serving.

Serve with cornbread, biscuits, or a crisp green salad.

Food-safety note: Don’t put raw ground beef directly into the slow cooker and assume it will safely cook throughout the long, low-temperature process. Browning it first is the safer approach and also improves the flavor.
